Where to Eat and Drink
Naples is like cilantro, you either love it or despise it and think it tastes like soap in your mouth.
I am the latter but since I live here with my beautiful boyfriend who I love, I am going to tell you the few cool things that I do like and that are quite nice if you happen to brave up and stay for a night or two before running to the heavenly Amalfi Coast or Capri.
PIZZA, Naples is the ONLY place you should be eating pizza in Italy. Period.
It is the best and incomparable.
Do not get a fucking pizza in Positano. Drink your limoncello and take your selfies. Do not order a pizza in Positano or anywhere outside Naples for that matter. Please.
If you just want any pizza then head to the pretty Lungomare and go to
Sorbillo’s by the sea. Totally satisfying and with the best view.
(We ordered 2 different pizzas and cut them in half to share. They would never do this for you so don’t ask)
For the adventurous:
Tre Santi Which is a new gourmet amazing pizzeria. This kid took his 100 year old grandmas ‘sell by the slice out the kitchen window shop’ and turned it into a 5 Star gourmet pizzeria. Even the mayor and the Naples soccer team comes here. It’s amazing and much respect to Ciro Oliva the young, brilliant energy that created this place.
*PRO TIP: this restaurant is in “the real Naples”, don’t wear good jewelry or fancy purses and prepare to wait in line outside for an hour unless you beat the lunch and dinner crowd. *you can get beers across the street at the cafe and chill till they call you.

Pescheria Mattiucci This is definitely the coolest spot for dinner. Set up like a bar with stools around the fish counter this place comes to life after 8pm. Located in the alleys of the glam chic area of Chiaia, three hot brothers turned their parents fish shop into a hotspot crudo fish restaurant. If you want to have fun, head over here.

For the fanciest nicest cool place in Naples with the best views, get a cab and head to Posillipo.
Cicciotto With white table clothes and exquisite pastas and wine, this is your best bet for elegance in Naples. Stare at the stunning sea view and the island of Capri while slurping spaghetti with lobster.
